Code of Conduct

Harassment and abuse. Bullying, intimidation, humiliation, abusive language, repeated unwanted contact, sexual harassment, stalking, or conduct intended to frighten, isolate, or control another person.

Discrimination and hateful conduct. Degrading, excluding, threatening, or targeting a person based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, veteran status, marital or family status, or another characteristic protected by applicable law.

Threats, violence, and unsafe behavior. Credible threats, physical violence, fighting, dangerous disruption, bringing a weapon into a Roll activity in violation of law or venue rules, or conduct that creates a serious or immediate safety risk.

Sexual misconduct and exploitation. Nonconsensual sexual conduct, sexual coercion, grooming, exploitation, unwanted sexual attention, or sharing intimate content without consent.

Fraud and deception. Scams, impersonation, identity misuse, forged credentials, knowingly false claims, theft, fraudulent transactions, or attempts to obtain money, access, or information through deception.

Unauthorized promotion and solicitation. Advertising, fundraising, recruiting, selling, mass messaging, political campaigning, or directly soliciting members without The Roll LLC's prior permission. A genuine recommendation made in response to a member's request is permitted when any relevant interest is disclosed.

Privacy violations. Sharing, publishing, selling, recording, photographing, or distributing another person's name, contact information, messages, image, voice, location, private circumstances, or other personal information without appropriate permission. This includes doxxing and unauthorized screenshots or recordings.

Spam and technical misuse. Malware, phishing, automated scraping, unauthorized data collection, disruption of services, attempts to defeat access controls, or using member information to build an outside contact list.

Retaliation and interference. Punishing, threatening, pressuring, or excluding someone for raising a good-faith concern; knowingly making a false report; destroying relevant information; pressuring witnesses; or obstructing a review.

Illegal or harmful activity. Using The Roll to arrange, promote, facilitate, or conceal unlawful activity or conduct that presents a substantial risk of harm to a person, property, or the community.

Misrepresentation of authority. Claiming to speak for, bind, represent, sponsor, approve, or act as an agent of The Roll LLC without written authorization.

Repeated or evasive violations. Repeated lower-level misconduct, attempts to avoid an existing restriction, or helping another person violate this Code.

Members remain responsible for evaluating recommendations, businesses, offers, services, opportunities, and other members. Participation in The Roll does not make a member, vendor, host, contributor, or advisor an employee, partner, agent, or representative of The Roll LLC. Members must not present personal opinions or arrangements as guarantees or official endorsements.

When members choose to buy, sell, refer, hire, collaborate, travel, attend, or transact with one another or with a third party, they are responsible for their own decisions, agreements, payments, permissions, and compliance with law.

Members may use information shared through The Roll only for the purpose for which it was provided. A member must obtain permission before sharing another person's private message, story, contact details, photograph, recording, or personal circumstances outside the intended conversation or activity. Permission to participate in an event or conversation is not, by itself, permission to record or publish it.

The Roll cannot guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality. Members should use good judgment and avoid sharing information they would not want disclosed. Suspected privacy misuse should be reported promptly.

A concern may be reported to [email protected]. The report should include, when available, the people involved, what occurred, when and where it occurred, relevant messages or documents, and whether there is an immediate safety concern. A person should contact 911 or the appropriate emergency service when anyone may be in immediate danger.

Reports should be made honestly and in good faith. A report is not considered false merely because it cannot be substantiated. The Roll LLC will limit information about a report to people who reasonably need it for safety, review, response, legal compliance, or administration, but cannot promise complete confidentiality.

The Roll LLC may review conduct that may violate this Code. The process may include requesting information, preserving relevant records, speaking with involved people, consulting a venue or service provider, and considering the nature, severity, context, frequency, credibility, and impact of the conduct. The Roll LLC is not a court and is not required to use formal rules of evidence or procedure.

When safety, privacy, evidence preservation, or community integrity requires prompt action, The Roll LLC may immediately suspend access, restrict communications, remove content, cancel attendance, separate participants, or take another reasonable interim measure while reviewing the matter. An interim measure is not necessarily a final finding.

The Roll LLC may consider prior conduct and may act without first issuing a warning. Serious misconduct may result in immediate termination. A paid member terminated for a serious violation of this Code is not entitled to a refund. Nothing in this Code requires The Roll LLC to disclose confidential information, another person's personal information, security practices, legal advice, or information that could create a safety risk.

A person whose membership is terminated may submit one written request for reconsideration to [email protected] within 14 calendar days after notice of termination. The request must identify a material factual error, previously unavailable information, or a substantial reason the outcome should be reconsidered. Disagreement alone does not require a different decision.

The Roll LLC may decline or limit further contact when doing so is reasonably necessary for safety, to comply with law, or because the request is threatening, abusive, repetitive, or unrelated to reconsideration. The decision on reconsideration is final.

This Code supplements The Roll's Terms of Service, Privacy Statement, event rules, venue requirements, and other written policies. If another policy imposes a more specific safety, privacy, or participation requirement, the more specific requirement applies to that situation. This Code does not replace any right or obligation under applicable law.

The Roll LLC may update this Code as the community, services, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when changes are made. Material changes will be communicated through a reasonable method, such as email or the method then used to provide member notices. Continued participation after an updated Code takes effect constitutes agreement to follow the updated Code, to the extent permitted by law.
